Post Apocalyptic Project Part 3
1/25/20
Hello again, internet, the encourageable! I have finally returned, and with photos aplenty!
Been recovering from a cold as of the last week and half. But I wanted to assure you, such things shall not stop me. Delay, yes. Stop, err, not really.
As you'll find, I've been working on a variety of things as of late. So as not to bog down this article, I'll let the captions do the explaining. Enjoy.

If you have seen my previous articles, you should be familiar with the models in this photo. Why I decided to feature them is they had recently received a repaint, and I was so pleased with the results I decided to showcase them a second time. Forgive me. |
This collection of furniture was made by yours truly predominantly out of Air-dry clay, with the legs being made of bits from plastic sprues and shattered toothpicks. The theme of most of my furniture was to emulate furniture design of the 40's (If the Wurlitzer and the tube televisions didn't give it away). My Wurlitzer Jukebox is modeled after a Wurlitzer model 800. The tube televisions (or telesets as they would have often been referred to, at the time) are modeled after period products from R.C.A., Zenith and Admiral. |
The collection in this photo are pre-made pieces obtained through 3d printing and or purchases. My favorite is the small desk/end table with the fan. The Fallout 3 Nuka-Cola machine steals the photo for me though. |
The terminals were sculpted and purchased form Modiphius Games. Part of there Wasteland Warfare series. Same with the desk on the left. |
Among the first terrain pieces finished for the collection. The subject needs no introduction. Model was ordered from Etsy. A awesome addition for any apocalyptic, Pulp, and or alternate history setting. I love it for being a homage to Planet of the Apes. I need to get some Apes, one day. |
The pair in this photo are of a mutated bear or "Yao Gaui" if you prefer, and a Two headed cow or "pack brahmin". The bear is a Lance and Laser model, were as the brahmin is from World's End Publishing. Note the discolored flesh throughout the bear's coat. |
The dead tree featured behind the bear or "Yao Guai" was made from clay. With a toothpick serving as the frame of the trunk, and bent wire for the branches. |
The caravan is assembled! |
More of armageddon's survivors. From Left to right: Barbarian/Raider girl is from Brother Vinni's, The Mutant Fox is from World's End Publishing, The blonde sniper girl is also from World's End Publishing, Mad Max is from Studio Miniatures, Crossbow guy is from Brigade Games, and Blue haired broad is also from Brigade Games. |
Of the Mad Max sculpts I've come across, Studio Miniatures has in my opinion the best model. I wanted to try something different for his base, so I did a hybrid of road and wasteland. The road was also made from Air-dry Clay. I'm quite content with how it came out. After all, where would "the Road Warrior" be without a road? |
This model was originally far more explicit. I decided to clothe her using plastic putty, to tone her down a bit. Given what raiders I have, I thought she'd be a welcomed addition. It's hard to have too many raiders. My favorite feature of this model is probably the dog collar tethered around her neck. The way I imagine it, is she wasn't always a raider. That she was originally an ordinary wastelander who was captured and tormented by her capturers. And almost through a sort of Stockholm syndrome, she joined them. |
The Fox should be fairly recognizable. It's World's End's Gas Mask Girl's furry companion. That was a mouth full. You know, the one on the front cover of T.N.T.? In any case, I have no idea if there are any rules for this little guy, but I have him all the same. |
The pair reunited! |
More of Eureka Miniatures, "Toxic Zombies". Painted in four different color schemes. There's a lot more where these came from, both literally and figuratively. I probably have another thirty to paint, *sigh*. |
Glowing Ones. |
Red flesh, ghouls. |
Dead brown flesh, ghouls. |
Gray swamp ghouls. Inspired by the swamp ghouls of Fallout 3's Point Lookout expansion. |
Thank you for your time, dear reader! Till next we meet!
