Sunday Mighty Monster Showdown!
9/22/19
After months of preparation the Sunday crew and I got to finally play Mighty Monsters, a table-top skirmish game running on the Song of Blades system. A simple yet engaging system, perfect for kaiju carnage. And carnage we had! A four-way deathmatch game. Four monsters entered, one kaiju leaves. The battle would occur at Manhattan island, and would ironically prove more merciful to the buildings than the monsters themselves. The monsters featured wear; Anguirus of Godzilla Vs Anguirus of 1955, Gezora the Cuttlefish Monster from Space Amoeba of 1970, Gorosaurus from King Kong Escapes of 1967, and finally the space-cyborg-cyclops Gigan from Godzilla Vs Gigan of 1972.
A quick(ish) game, but one certainly worth revisiting. I'll let the images explain further.

 |
Gigan oozes-in to finish the job. A bastard both in game and film! |
 |
Meanwhile, Angurirus attempts to kick Gezora and flips on his back!
Gezora would seize this opportunity to finish Angurirus. |
 |
Gigan seeing the opportunity, jumps into the fray! In an attempt to kick Gezora,
Gigan instead joins Angurirus on the ground. |
 |
Gezora thinking his luck would be any better, attempts to kick his fellow Kiaju while there down!
Gezora would instead join them! |
 |
Gezora and Gigan gain there footing and fight on there last legs. Gezora would put up a valiant struggle, but between it's fatigue and loss of limbs would force it to take second. Congrats Gigan! |
