Status Update

I would first like to start by apologizing for the lack of content provided this month. My current project has proven especially laborious and will not be featured until sometime in April. Though I am not at liberty to disclose any photos of my current project (namely to conceal my embarrassment), I feel you have a right to know. Presently I'm working on my 28mm British 8th Army for Bolt Action. Despite the beauty of the models, as well as there quality, I don't find them to be a particularly interesting force to paint. As you may know, the British are a rather oversaturated army in Bolt Action, and perhaps doubly so for the 8th Army in particular. Not undeservedly so mind you, but they just are. Just as I tell myself, there coverage is namely out of utility. You really can't cover the Western Desert theatre without them. I just wish they were more interesting to paint! Painters-bloc, you know. They'll get done all the same and they'll look good too, so help me!

I guess the real project that haunts me is the one that'll likely follow this one. My Roman legion. A year and a half ago I ordered a couple hundred models of ancients, namely of Imperial Legionnaires from Warlord Games with the expressed intent of playing Hail Caesar. As well as some Victrix Imperial Romans. They've gotten no further than the closet shelf. I love Rome, but as they say, "life happens".  However, since then I've discovered a group I've come to play with on Sundays who've introduced me to a plethora of rules they'd be applicable for. Namely Osprey's "Rampant" series. And so plans would change yet again.

For too long has Rome's Legions been dormant! Soon shall be the raising of the Eagles and the forming of ranks of Mars's sons!

Again, sorry for the lack of content, next month will be better. Stay safe/healthy, till next time.-Anthony
